How Tipmo by GratifID uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website.
This Cookie Policy explains how GratifID Inc. ("Tipmo", "GratifID", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit tipmo.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember information about your visit, such as your preferred language and settings. Cookies can also be used to measure how you use a website so it can be improved.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — these work in a comparable way and are also covered by this policy.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Can be disabled? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Essential for the website to function. They enable core features like navigation and remembering the cookie choices you make. | Your cookie consent record (gratifid_cookie_consent) | No — always active |
| Analytics | Help us understand how visitors interact with our site by collecting anonymous usage data. Never set unless you opt in. | Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) | Yes |
| Marketing | Let our advertising partners measure how well our ads work and which visits turn into sign-ups. Activated only after you opt in. | Meta Pixel (_fbp), Reddit Pixel (_rdt_uuid), LinkedIn Insight Tag | Yes |
3. Specific Cookies We Set
| Cookie Name | Provider | Category | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| gratifid_cookie_consent | Tipmo / GratifID | Necessary | 12 months (then we ask again) | Browser local storage entry that stores your per-category cookie choices, with the date and policy version of your decision. |
| _ga | Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | Analytics | 2 years | Distinguishes unique visitors. Set only after you consent. |
| _ga_* | Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | Analytics | 2 years | Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4. Set only after you consent. |
| _fbp | Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel) | Marketing | 3 months | Distinguishes visitors for ad measurement and conversion reporting. Set only after you consent. |
| _rdt_uuid | Reddit, Inc. (Reddit Pixel) | Marketing | 3 months | Attributes visits and sign-ups to Reddit ads. Set only after you consent. |
4. Third-Party Services
On our marketing pages, third-party cookies come from Google Analytics 4, operated by Google LLC (United States), which loads only after you opt in to analytics cookies. We do not control these cookies — see the Google Privacy Policy (opens in new window) for how Google processes this data.
If you opt in to marketing cookies, we also activate advertising pixels through Google Tag Manager: the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.), the LinkedIn Insight Tag (LinkedIn Corporation), and the Reddit Pixel (Reddit, Inc.). These measure how well our ads perform and which visits turn into sign-ups; the LinkedIn Insight Tag stores its cookies on linkedin.com domains rather than ours. See the Meta Privacy Policy (opens in new window), LinkedIn Privacy Policy (opens in new window) and Reddit Privacy Policy (opens in new window) for how these partners process data.
Our support chat page (used for support inside the TIPMO app, and also reachable on the web) loads the Zendesk messaging widget, operated by Zendesk, Inc. (United States). Zendesk sets its own strictly necessary cookies and local storage to run the conversation; it is not used for advertising. See the Zendesk Privacy Notice (opens in new window) for how Zendesk processes this data.
Our website also embeds video using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video on our homepage loads only when you press play. Our About page shows a muted background video served the same way that plays automatically when the page loads — this connects your browser to Google's servers, though YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode limits what it stores and does not use it for personalised advertising.
5. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit our website, a cookie consent banner appears allowing you to accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or customise which categories you allow. No optional cookies are set until you make a choice. Your decision is stored for 12 months — after that, or if what we use cookies for changes, we ask again. You can change your preferences at any time:
If you switch analytics or marketing off, measurement stops immediately and the Google Analytics, Meta, and Reddit cookies we set are deleted from your browser. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- See what cookies are set and delete them individually
- Block third-party cookies
- Block cookies from particular websites
- Block all cookies
- Delete all cookies when you close the browser
Note that blocking cookies may affect website functionality. Visit allaboutcookies.org (opens in new window) for guidance on managing cookies in different browsers.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, analytics and marketing cookies are pre-set to off, and you can still opt in through Manage Cookie Preferences if you wish. Some browsers also include an older "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature; our website does not respond to DNT signals, but we always honour the consent choices you make through our cookie banner.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our business practices. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
